James Anagnostakis Launches Campaign for District 4

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 5, 2026

Douglas County, GA - Attorney and Desert Storm veteran James Anagnostakis today announced his candidacy for Douglas County Commission District 4, pledging to bring trustworthy leadership, responsible growth, and a strong commitment to the families and communities of Douglas County.

Anagnostakis has spent decades serving West Georgia in the courtroom and in the community. After graduating with honors from the University of West Georgia, he earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and founded Anagnostakis Law Group in 1999. Throughout his career, he has represented individuals, families, and businesses while building a reputation for listening to clients and fighting to get results.

In addition to his private practice, Anagnostakis currently serves as an Associate Special Assistant Attorney General working with Georgia’s child welfare system, representing the state in court and helping ensure laws protecting children and families are applied fairly and effectively.

“Douglas County is a place where families put down roots, build businesses, and invest in their future,” Anagnostakis, a long time resident said. “I’m running because we need responsible democratic leadership that manages growth carefully, protects our communities, and keeps Douglas County a great place to live and work.”

A Desert Storm veteran who served with the U.S. Navy’s Fighting Seabees, Anagnostakis has dedicated his career to service. He and his wife have been married for 28 years and are proud parents to their son, Kai.

The campaign will focus on responsible development, protecting the quality of life for residents, and ensuring local government works effectively for the citizens of District 4.
